Gascade: Pumping via Yamal–Europe stops, reverse supplies start
MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- Pumping of natural gas through the Yamal–Europe pipeline from Poland to Germany stopped on November 6, and reverse supplies were launched, according to German gas transmission system operator Gascade.
Direct pumping to Germany from Poland through the pipeline resumed on November 4 after five days of suspension.
The 33 billion cubic meter Yamal–Europe pipeline runs to Germany from Russia through Belarus and Poland. Gas giant Gazprom said previously that fluctuations in demand for Russian gas in Europe depend on the need of the consumers, and that the company fulfilled all requests from the European companies.
